I grew up on a small family farm in Southern Indiana where we had a variety of critters from dogs and cats to horses and donkeys. Even at a young age, I looked forward to visits from our local vet. I would watch, fascinated, as he worked on our animals.
For as long as I can remember, I have always had a special interest in reptiles and amphibians. Much of my time outdoors is spent “herping,” or looking for these scaly creatures. I have even traveled to South Africa where I was able to find and photograph many species of tortoises and snakes.
My tiny zoo at home is currently made up of a box turtle named Ruby and several aquariums filled with fish and various other aquatic animals. Though I love reptiles, I also greatly enjoy the satisfaction that comes from helping clients to treat and care for their small animal companions.
